Why is it when you need quiet the most that your kids go wild? It seems for the last 3 weeks ALL I’ve heard is “MOMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! She touched me, He looked at me, He pinched me, She has my toy, I don’t wanna do that, I aint (thats not even a real word!) doing it! She did it, He did it! ” And yes for those of you who wish to complain about it. I KNOW my punctuation leaves a lot to be desired today. I’m just up for giving you all something to complain about.
The closer summer draws near the more crazy I become. Everyone in the neighbor hood is sending their kids to my house to play. Its like a daycare here. My kids I can handle. But being responsible for everyone’s kids here is getting to be too much. I feel like if something happens to them even if they fall and scrape their knee that I somehow am responsible for it. I don’t want to be responsible for everyone’s kids. I do good to keep up with my three. Somedays its nice and quiet. Like yesterday it was just my kids. Today the little girl down the road was over. It wouldn’t be so bad if she had manners and respect. When things do not go her way she pitches a fit and yells she is going home. At this point I feel it would be pointless to talk to her mother b/c they already know how she is. They already know how she treats others and how she behaves. If she cant behave she just will not be welcomed at my house.
AGH Kids now days. Why cant their parents make them mind? Behave? Have Morals? Had I gone into someone’s house and behaved the way this little girl does that would have been the end of me.. I would have been grounded for a good while or had my bum busted.. This little girl leaves me speechless!
For the last several years i’ve been determind to rid my life of Country Music. After all it seemed every bit of it was based on getting your heart broken. And crying in your beer, or your truck done broke down in ur front yard, ur wife done runned off with ur dog. Oh how ridiculous! Then WHY is it im sitting here and there is country music playing through my speakers. It must be my frame of mind.
I grew up with a mother who listend to nothing but country and a father who listened to Rock. I grew up liking alternative music.. Serves them right! lol..
Maybe I took a liking to all of it? Who knows..
I almost fit the country stereo type. Ive got hunting dogs running out of my ears. My husband is pretty much 100% redneck. We drive a truck. Don’t own a car. He refuses.. I have a deer head mounted on my wall(ICK). 99% of our meat comes from him hunting. Opening day of Deer Season is a holiday. It means you take off work and celebrate. Its also a reason for a huge family gathering (UGH!). Lets see what else.. its all family here so we find ourselves yelling for our kids to come in the house when they are down the road..Own a 4 wheeler (ATV For you Yanks), And riding it is considered a sport and a favorite pasttime.. Yes I sound redneck country right?
Well I live in the south. I live in the country on an ol’ dirt road. BUT I am NOT country.. Everyone around will tell you I’m far from country. I just married into the wrong family . (But thats another story for another day..)
