Just a short rambling.
Posted by ivy | Under Ivy Unleashed Saturday Jun 18, 2005It is my ever so humble opinion that South East Texas SUCKS! Yes there is no better word for it! IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS IT SUCKS!
Its hot (we hit 100 yesterday), Its Humid(Every day 100% humidity), And Its driving both my Asthma and my allergies (Which i didnt have before having kids) CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My head feels like its going to explode, my eyes are itchy and watery, my nose wants to run(yes everyone make a joke now), and the pressure is driving me insane. And you can probably tell I’m already a lil bitchy VERY bitchy Today. And another thing that sucks. You know at some point we will be hit by either a tropical storm or a hurricane this year. Its just a matter of time. YES It is my opinion that south east texas sucks!
I dyed my hair red last night. I’ve had it this color before. But its been a few years. My dear hubby was nice enough to tell me how much he hated it. And then my son jumped on the bandwagon to tell me,”Mommy, I dont like your hair” Thats okay though. It was easier coming from dh though because frankly if I cared what he had thought about my hair I would have ran it by him before doing it. He is lucky it ended up red and not blue. Now the real test will be when I go to my moms house. She NEVER likes what I do to my hair but thats okay though b/c she understands that its who I am. I often do messed up things to my hair and she never really knows what I will show up looking like. Last time My hair was down to my belt loops and I decided to cut it all off in the middle of the night because I was tired of looking at it. And I cut it off up to my shoulders and then had to go have a salon fix what I messed up..
On another note. I was walking by my 2 year old yesterday and kinda messed her hair up playing with her. She started giggling and said “Butthead” and went about playing. Now all those parents who are better parents than I am might not find it amusing in the least. But the way she was giggling and the way she still doesnt pronounce things exactly right made it really funny!
Can I add Florida to the list of states that suck?!?! BTW I bet the red looks great, my dh hates it when I dye my hair. Here via Michele, but i will be back on my own.

Wish I could Kenju. I would have to track my dad down and go to his house nad let him take a pic. My scanner/printer is broken(Oh how i hate lexmark!)and my camera died in like november.. I want another one so bad!
Well I live in South East Texas and I too have allergy induced asthma so I would have to agree that the weather here sucks ..lol
Luckily I am heavily medicated with Allegra ,Nasonex ,Singular and Advair ..lol so this year I am doing much better ..When I first moved here three years ago( before going to my allergy specialist) I stayed sick …I hated it ..
I am waiting for the tropical storm I know it’s coming ..Hell I am waiting for a good rain to try and cool it off ,although I know it will end up making the air even more thick and sticky …

I am a natural red-head who spent so many years coloring my hair blonde, strawberry-blonde, etc. that when I wanted it to be red again, it won’t. I’ve colored mine red because it’s now a dark auburn, but red is the hardest color to keep.
I bet the red looks great!
PS. I think the butthead thing is funny. But then again, I’m in a house of boys.

OK… First off… Yes it’s HOT… Yes it’s HUMID… BUT… It’s only the weather here that sucks…. We have the friendliest people you will ever find….

haha my kids say things like butthead and buttcheese (that’s a nice visual… not! hahaha) and it still cracks me up, which makes it hard to reinforce “stop saying that”.. haha
The weather has been hot, very damn hot down here… we need rain… “doing rain dance”.
