Exhausted seems to be the word..
Posted by ivy | Under Down and out Friday Jun 24, 2005I’ve been sleeping off and on for days now.. To exhausted to move much. The kids have been running a mile a minute though. Its been a hell of a week thats for sure. I went to walmart yesterday for the things we had to have.. And it took me 3 hours there because of my back. I kept having ot find a place to sit down for a minute. Thankful that our walmart has little benches every so often. I could have pulled a lounge chair out in garden center and made myself comfy but I didnt think they would like that much. I could always tell them I was trying before I buy..
Onto recent news…. Seems Old TomKat has made an ass out of himself again on the Today show..

My inlaws own a canoe business. Today we had a canoer drown.
This is what the local news said..
Searchers have located the body of a man they believe drowned in **** Creek.
The drowning happened Friday afternoon in **** County, near Clear Lake Road west of *****.
Sheriff says a 40 year old man from Denton, north of Dallas, was with a group canoeing on **** Creek, when the man had a seizure and fell out of the canoe into the water.
**** Fire Department divers and searchers with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department found the man’s body Friday afternoon.
The sheriff says the man wasn’t wearing a life preserver.
Now what was so weird about this was. That the people he was with.. Showed no emmotion. there was about 10 people in the group this man was in. No one tried to save him. And not one of them seemed upset that he drowned. They all just sat by acting “normal” while the sheriffs dept searched for his body. I’m not sure that they are 100% sure he had a seizure. I think we(my inlaws and my husband) was more upset about this than the people he was with.
UPDATE***** They are now saying that hte guy who drowned had seizures alot. Why on earth was he canoeing then! He had no family other than the people he lived with(the people he was canoeing with) still very odd..
The plot thickens… maybe they poisoned the dude and pushed him over. Or maybe… it was another finger the in chili type incident gone horribly wrong…. hmmm….

When I read the story about Tom and Matt, I kept thinking that Tom sounded a lot like a 20yo college student who thinks he’s discovered the meaning of life… not like a 40-something adult who should have enough wisdom to know when he’s out of his league.
And the drowning story… yeah, does seem strange.
