Hurricane Woes
Posted by ivy | Under Ivy Unleashed Monday Aug 29, 2005I’ve got friends and family all along south Louisiana and South Miss..
I’ve only been able to reach one of them today. And one of them last night. I worry for their safety. Of course while I worry for their safety they fear their homes are being destroyed and some worry what they will go home to while others are waiting out the storm sitting through it all. I’m no stranger to hurricanes. I’ve weathered a few. And I’m glad it didnt come at us this time. Although they say we will get one this year i’m hoping we dont.. I dont want to leave my home and I dont want to worry about coming home to nothing. I feel for my family and friends I have along the coast right now.. This is part of living on the coast. Something we know can and will happen but nothing we will ever get use to. To any of you with family and friends in the path of Katrina.. your families and friends are in my thoughts.. Please keep mine in yours..

i know how you feel Ivy… cuz during that killer tsunami that struck the coasts of india - my city was affected too.. it struck here too… i wasnt affected cuz i am in a safe place… and fortunately my friends too were safe…but some of them have lost everything…and i was at my end trying to contact them… it was pure hell… so from someone who knows - a prayer for you, your family and your friends! *HUGS*
Of course we are thinking good thoughts for your friends and relatives and all the people in Katria’s path.
How is the not smoking going?I quit years ago. I don’t remember those allergy symtoms then,,but I get them all now. Hmm. I do remeber being in pain for awhile. It hurt to breathe. It’s just not easy to quit. Hang in there. It’s worth it.
I too have family in Lousiana! My prayers are with you and yous!
I’ve been praying for everyone dealing with Katrina, and I’ll say an extra prayer for your friends
I hope that everyone is all right!!
I hope they’re alright. I just saw a NINterview with Brett Farve and his family… man what an ugly situation. Thank goodness all his family is alright in the end.
hope all your friends are safe.
