1…. I haven’t been sleeping. I’ve been exhausted non stop. Extremely tired but when I lay down I toss and turn NON stop. 2… .My moods have shifted and i’m moody.. VERY 3… .The kids are feeling all better. I took Sugar and Bug to eat yesterday at a restraunt and they were horrible. i couldnt believe how they behaved. They said they were starving but they made it a miserable time and I won’t take them back I dont think.. 4… .I’m sad.. Sugar is getting so big.. She isnt the baby anymore. She is still so extremely cute that I can’t help but watch her sleep. 5… .She (Sugar) thinks we are naming the baby monkey for real. And Diva thinks that the baby should be named princess.. I told her i’m not naming the baby princess and we dont know what it is and wont for awhile.. She said.. PLEASE MOMMA! 6… .My mom has started to come around about the baby.. She is already coming up with baby names 7… .My house should start being worked on in the next few weeks. I can’t wait.. My mom and sister are coming to paint Diva’s room as soon as we get a weekend with out rain! 8… .I’ve been looking for a new/used vehicle.. Finding one with bad credit is not easy. I can’t go pay cash for one.. Thats not happening.. But i have a decent down payment.. But no one is wanting to mess with us.. My credit is shot all because dh getting laid off before.. man its going to be hell pulling myself out of this one.. 9… .A good many of the vehicles i am finding.. They are over priced with more than 100,000 miles on them.. 10… .My oldest.. has been something else yesterday. She showed her b um in the grocery store and I told her when we got home she would be grounded. She would spend the evening in her room.. She told me,”Well, I don’t care!” her attitude sometimes is a bit much! 11… . Whats scary about Diva’s attitude. Is people say,”It doesnt get better”. Well then what the heck do you do? You can’t beat them! 12… .I wonder if I gave my parents this much trouble.. She is only 6 1/2.. I dont think I did.. But my mom says she acts just like me.. Thats scary! 13… .The weather here.. Has been something.. EVERY weekend we have rain and a cold front. During the week its hot.. Its been really pretty out just horrible wind.. Links to other Thursday Thirteens! |

Not sleeping? Take a week-long ski trip! I’ve been going to bed early and sleeping late for the last 4 days. Feels great, too. Then this morning reality set in, the alarm went off at 4:45, and POOF!! Vacation’s over.

I hear you on the sleep thing, I had the same problem until I got sick. Now I am so exhusted that I can actually sleep, I don’t know if it is a good thing yet!

I’m having the same kind of sleep problems & my eyelids are SO heavy, but I can’t sleep.
Natural Consequences are the best solution for problems. Example: when the kids were misbehaving in the restaurant, warn them & then leave the restaurant because their behavior was inappropriate. It’s very easy once you get the concept. When I was in social work, we used it w/the kids in group homes & it’s very effective.
Another thing you can do is give your kids choices. Both are choices YOU pick, but they think they’re picking them.
Example: Sugar, you get to choose to either behave in the restaurant, or you can choose to not behave & we’ll leave. (But you have to follow thru)
You can also take them for a ‘practice’ run. Take them somewhere but beforehand, practice at home, at the table, how they should behave. If they do well, reward them with a trip to their favorite restaurant.
Just some ideas & you can apply those to all kinds of situations. (Oh and for toys they don’t pick up, put them all in a trash bag & hide them in the garage for so many days. Again, you could let them ‘choose’ to pick them up or lose them)
