Aggrevated. Why is it that NOTHING is made like it was back then? When is back then you ask? Back when i was a kid (yeah i know im not that old). Back when my parents were kids.. I remember growing up my parents appliances lasted a long time! Grand parents too! Lasted long enough to be handed down to the next person in line who needed them. But now days? Now days?

Want to know what happens now days?

Now days you go to sears. You spend 350 to 400$ on a dryer. A Kenmore because tis suppose to be the best and your last one was a whirlpool that lasted 5 years before it broke. Now the kenmore was suppose to last!

Well yesterday it broke the record for crappy appliances! And you guessed it.. the warranty ran out in Feb!! The damn dryer is ONLY 15 months old!!!!! It turns but it doesnt dry! I’m sure its the heating element thing but by the time they come fix it and we have to pay the repair bill that we cant afford. That damn dryer that is only 15 months old is going to cost me 600$(cost of dryer plus cost of repairs). Its a joke! I think they did this on purpose!

I KNOW im not hte only one who has had this happen to them. I think they make them to break right after the warranty runs out. Same thing with vehicles.. They break down with in a month of the damn warranty going out! THIS IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!

Im just livid right now. ive got a ton of laundry to wash but I have to go pay to dry them. And the damn laundry mat isnt open until MONDAY!

That toally sucks! You have every right to be angry. And yes, I do believe that companies purposely do not make things like they use to so that they ca make more $$$.

oooohhhh I’m so sorry, I know how terrible it is to try to survive without a dryer and your size family. I totally agree with you about the quality of crap these days.
Good luck!

Same thing with cars. They don’t last like they used to. It amazes me to come across avocado green appliances b/c you know those suckers are at least 30 years old.

Ivy,

I think you may be a victim of the famous “C.” (Conspiracy). Next will be some plumbing fixture. Then electronics, followed by the car and maybe even the structure of the house. The “C” is merciless and relentless. The machines and other inanimate objects are taking over!

Sometimes I really really really enjoy being a renter, because when appliances break, the rental co. has to come out and fix it or I can threaten to not pay rent. AWESOME!
