Ivy Tied Up |

Mixed up ramblings of a bipolar mom to 4…

Left some things out..

Wednesday Jul 5, 2006

I’ve left some things out lately. A lot has been going on and I haven’t had much time to do anything other than vent.

So first and foremost..

My oldest turned 7 on June 18th. We had her party on July 1st.. It was a very difficult party for me as I couldnt do anything (read down below i’ll explain why). But the kids had a BLAST!!! It poured rain that morning and that evening.. And even sprinkled some during the party.. But they were outside playing in a kiddie pool and on a slip and slide.. OH! And hubby’s aunt and uncles and cousins.. They all pitched in and bought diva a water slide.. Damn thing cost like 140 to 150$.. You know something she really needed!!!!! LOL.. It was the light of hte party!!!
MOF the kids didnt want to get off of it to open presents or eat cake! People started leaving and presents still were not open! The party started at 2.. At 5 we still had guests.. I finally said we had to leave at 6:30 because I was exhausted and hurting and just couldnt take anymore.. There was STILL family there at 6:30.. Overall she was thrilled with her party.. I was glad it was over!

Now and update on the pregnancy..
Im 29 weeks.. Will be 30 weeks on friday.. My last drs appt was last thursday. At the office I almost passed out. I’m not sure what happened or why. I just didnt feel real well and it got worse suddenly. I got hot and couldnt cool off.. And then i almost passed out.> Thankfully the dr was right there and in the room when it happened. He made me lay down.. My blood pressure was only slightly elevated. Not enough to cause that. Ive been having really horrible headaches for 2/3 weeks now. And ive been having horrible pelvic pain. My pelvis is literally coming apart.. Its shifting and it hurts like hell! Ive never felt anything like it before.. It gets worse..Not better..

I can hardly sleep due to the pain. I cant walk. Standing for any amount of time is pretty much next to impossible with out having extreme pain. sitting is better than laying because when i sit.. the area down there aches and kinda has a strange numbing feeling but the pain isnt as bad.. Standing or laying the pain is bad.. its worse than an ache… So i find myself trying to sleep sitting up.. Which doesnt work too well..

The dr seems to think that the headaches are from the stress with the pain. Which could really be it because thast about how long ive had the headaches.. They got bad when the pain got bad.. Not much they can do though. Other than give me mild pain meds to try to cope with the pain so I can sleep and put me on bed rest. Right nwo im on restrictions. Im not to lift anything or do anything. Next is complete bed rest.. Right now though im suppose to take it easy.. And so far thats what i’ve done..And my house is starting to show it..LOL But nothing I can do about it..I’ve had to make the kids start helping out more. And I sleep when dh is home to watch the kids and i can have my bed to myself so that i can find a comfy position. Its been trying..

My c section date has been moved from Sept 7 to Sept 1st.. Thats a friday.. As of this friday i’ll have 8 weeks left!! OMG 8 WEEKS!!!!!
I must run now.. In my next post I have to tell you about a friend of mine and her current adventures that makes me so proud of her!

OMG, you poor thing!!! I can’t believe it. That sounds terrible. I have some unbearable pains, but I can’t imagine what you are going through.

I’m glad you are still posting! I have a service that tells me when people update and for some reason it doesn’t tell me yours. I’ll have to keep checking back.
:)
8 weeks! So soon! Hopefully, your hubby will get fixed so you don’t have to go through this again. I think your body has said - OK! THAT’S ENOUGH! It sounds like you have a beautiful brood, though. I hope this delivery is your most pleasant.

That sounds really painful Ivy. I know you’ll be relieved after those weeks have gone by.

oh you poor achey thing you! i remember that well darling. carrying twins my pubis literally opened and i had to use a walking stick for the last 3 months. i couldnt get in a car without a carrier bag on the seat! waddling is not much fun.
my heart goes out to you :)
all worth it in the end though dear one.
well done with surviving the party. you sound like you are doing great. keep up the good work.

ooh i just remembered, the best releif i found was sitting on one of those swiss balls- you know the work out balls? if you sit squarly on it with your legs apart and just twist or roll it can do wonders. it takes the strain off your pelvis and hips and shifts to your spine, which in turn gets a stretch.
try it.
it was great during labour too *though you wont need that :) and its also great to sit in and bounce gently if the baby has colic or is just feeling fussy. while simultaniously woeking those butt muscles back into shape!

good luck babe.

Hey Ivy, I agree with the ball idea. I had that terrible pain with baby #4 too. I could only sit in those cheap plastic yard chairs, it was totally wierd. But the ball did help. I spent the last half of my pgcy sleeping semi reclined in a recliner. Also, my dr finally perscribed hydrocodone. I would definitely talk to your dr, beg him to perscribe some. I know that pain SO well. I am SO SO sorry.
Hang in there though, it will all be over soon.
