Who knew a little bitty spider could bring so much chaos?????????????

Dh was bitten by a brown recluse spider over a week ago.. It was on Sunday the 5th.. We noticed it first on his arm.. Then his leg.. We thought at first it was a mosquito bite.. but nope! It got worse and his leg kept hurting him more and more.. Wed he couldnt take the pain anymore and went to the dr.. Dr wouldnt touch it.. Said it was infected and gave him Duricef and sent him on his way. Wed night he was in so much pain he was shaking and sick.. So Thursday required a trip to a DIFFERENT dr.. One who would really do something.. This dr said the last dr didnt prescribe strong enough antibiotics.. Put him on pain meds, Septra and another antibiotic.. On Friday morning dh started running fever and a lil part of the sore busted and started draining.. (EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW) So we dealt with that.. Then Sunday morning he has a rash.. Okay benedryl took care of it.. Sunday night he breaks out in a totally different rash.. No amount of benedryl was making it go away.. He started swelling.. HIs eyes almost swelled shut, his hands were swelling, his fingers were t urning colors and he couldnt breathe…At 3 am we made a trip to the Emergency Room..

They said it was an allergic reaction to one of the medications he was on.. They popped him full of steriods and benedryl and sent him home.. We got home at 7am monday morning.. Monday evening he broke back out and went crazy.. Scared the crap otu of me.. Off and on the entire past week he had been out of it.. Not making sense.. Saying off hte wall things and acting weird.. Falling down and stuff.. Then monday evening he went what i’d call psycho.. Got him calmed down.. more benedryl in him.. he slept.. yesterday he broke out again.. Today another trip to the dr.. I dont have any news on it yet because I had to take Diva to the dr..

The past week has been interesting to say the least.. his arm is healing nicely.. his leg.. the hospital says does not require surgery and it will just take a long time to heal. Its a slow process.. Its still causing pain.. but it is getting better.. Its insane to think one lil spider caused this much crap! And not to mention over 600$ in drs bills and medications now.. That doesnt include the hospital bills we will get in say 2 weeks!!!

He has been out of work a week now.. All this for one stupid lil spider.. And Dh picked on me at one time about my fear of spiders.. Now he sees i had ever reason to hate spiders and still do..

This process is no where near over.. The lucky part is that he doesnt need surgery.. I ask though whats next???????????????
